Derby match of this round, played at City Stadium in Subotica. Between the several years champions Partizan Belgrade and the local team Spartak. FK Spartak was established in 1945 and since establishment played between 1st and 2nd league. In the last decade has played even in the third rank of the competition, but after merger with the local club Zlatibor Voda moves better time for the club. In the last season's was the highest success, winning 4th place and playing in the UEFA League. Moreover, in past, he played in the cup final but without trophies.
This is a stadium that will be around a lot on my blog, for one simple reason. I live in this region and the first game that I watched live at the beginning of eighties, were here on Spartak as a common name for the stadium. In an earlier period, the stadium was able to receive 28.000 spectators. Long ago stadium was not full, in the latest time the average spectators was a few thousand per game. Concrete panels are in poor condition, and on the east and the west stand are placed plastic seats which has a little more than 3000, which is the minimum number required to make the stadium could be used in the Superliga.
Something about the history of the stadium. It was built in 1936. The first works after this were in the sixties when are made changing rooms. The first reconstruction was made in 1972. when are concreted stands, and second in 1978. when are made an athletic track. The next reconstruction is planned for this year, when should the stadium to fill all the requirements for playing international matches.
