At about ten kilometers from Novi Sad, on the way to Titel and Zrenjanin is Kać. This little place with 11,500 inhabitants is well connected to Novi Sad by the city's bus service. The most popular sport in the city is probably handball but football has its place.

Youth football club Jugović was founded in 1912. The club is among the oldest football clubs in Serbia and one of the few clubs who have the original founding document. It was formed as OKSK but in 1926 was given its current name. An interesting fact is that the club plays in a row for 21 year in the same rank of the competition. Their home ground is Sports Center Siget, in which in the early nineties of the last century was built concrete stand for around 1,200 spectators. Admission for today´s match was 100rsd which is less than 1€. In the clash of "gunners" and "students" draw is the fairest result of this match, uncertain until the very end.

Today's match was one of the most important games in the last few seasons for the home team. It is a rematch of play offs to enter into Serbian League of Vojvodina, and the opponent was team FK "Index" from Novi Sad. Better team from two matches, since autumn will be a new member of the Serbian 3rd league. In the first match score was 0-0, which is considered to be very inconvenient for both teams.
Bačka needed victory, which they achieved in the presence of a large number of fans. At the end a great and well-deserved celebration for the return into the third rank of competition after several seasons.

 

 

 

FK Index

FK Index is a football club from Novi Sad. For the second consecutive year they compete in Vojvodjanska liga "Zapad", which is the fourth tier of Serbian football. They football stadium "Đačko igralište" is located in Liman neighborhood in the student center. Nicely decorated stadium, with a cafe at the entrance, with a terrace from which you can also watch the matches. Balloon with a small ground inside, next to the ground, the new athletic track used by all recreationists, and two beautiful stands with around 500 seats.
