Stadion u Gradskom parku, Bačka Topola

Football club from Bačka Topola celebrated the centenary of the establishment and start kicking the ball in this small town, situated in the northern part of Serbia. Guest in this important moment was the actual champion Partizan.
The first football club in Bačka Topola, was formed in 1912 but officially exists since 1913. In early 1930-ies the club has started building a new stadium in the city park where the stadium is located today. Club changes several names through history (TSC, JAK, Egység, Topolya, AIK, Bačka Topola) but only under the name AIK played in the 2nd league, but overwhelmed with financial problems ceases to exist in 2003. After two years without football is formed new (old) club by merging with local club from Bajša under the name of the city, FK Bačka Topola. The club currently plays in the fourth rank of competition under that name although the club for the centenary has changed name in TSC, Topola sports club. The new name of the club in some way is also old, because it was the first name of a football club in Bačka Topola. Although the name change has already taken place these days, a football club as a team in the competition will not be able to change it until spring part of the championship.
City stadium is a located in the city park and already at the entrance to the park felt the big match atmosphere. Hundreds of people with blue and white pennants and boys in black-and-white jerseys hurriedly went to the stadium. Admission was free and the stadium was quite filled. Only the central section of the  western stands, in which there are about 570 seats was completely filled while on the other stands it was empty places. The host match started fiercely and only after four minutes scored for incredibly celebration on the stands. Unfortunately for them it was only from the hosts in this match. Guest has taken the game and in the end won convincingly although both have changed the entire teams during match.
Centenary of the club was marked on the two more beautiful ways. A few hours before the match, the club was presented monography where with the help of hundreds of photos and tables to be summed hundred years of existence and on the occasion of the Jubilee one hundred years of football in Bačka Topola today all postal items from Bačka Topola are gone with the imprint of a specially-made stamp for this occasion.

Pre-season friendly
Stadion pod Vrmcem, Kotor, Montenegro

Located along one of Montenegro's most beautiful bays is Kotor. It is fairly well connected with neighboring countries with roads and buses, even three airports are less than 100 km away from the city. Its center is made of the Old town, best known landmark Kotor is also sport center of this area. As everywhere else, football is part of everyday life. Way back in 1922 was established a football club Bokelj.
The club played in Yugoslav 2nd and 3rd leagues but the most important success was the placement in First league of Montenegro in 2007. Today club plays in the second league. In the foothill of the hill Vrmac is located their home ground, Stadion pod Vrmcem. Stadium has only one terrace and in addition to the main pitch is an auxiliary pitch with artificial grass next to the club´s building.
When I found out that it will be played a friendly match, I was thrilled. The opponent was 3rd league club and football was not the most brilliant but nevertheless it was nice to be in the stadium that day alongside another fifty people, football enthusiasts. Bokelj live forever...

Groundspotting to sea

Groundspotting is the spotting of football grounds whilst traveling. So and I take opportunity when I am on the road to drop by in some places, to see some grounds if it is possible. My journey led through BiH and Montenegro. The first stadium, which is located beside the road was in Goražde, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
City of Goražde is located in the central upper part of the river Drina. One of the oldest sports is, of course, football. The first football club in Goražde was established in 1918. After several name changes and merging two clubs into one in 1960 was created FK Goražde. Last season club played in the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is second rank of competition but dropped out of the league. Their home ground is city stadium "Midhat Drljević". Stadium have one stand with capacity of 1,192 plastic seats and who knows how many more places for standing.
City Trebinje is placed in the southernmost part of Republic of Srpska and BiH. Located on the road Nº 20 from Belgrade to Dubrovnik, Trebinje is primarily regional center by its geo-strategic position. FK Leotar is football club from the city of Trebinje, founded in 1925. The club never managed to gain promotion to the top Yugosalv league, but won its only national championship in the first season in the Premier league of BIH, whose is current member. The club´s home ground is stadium "Police", nice all-seater stadium with capacity of 8,500 people. Unfortunately, at the time when I went there was no one in the stadium and I could not enter. I hope that one day I will come back here and watch a match.

When on the way from Trebinje enter to Montenegro, first town is Herceg Novi, on whose western side is located Igalo, town known as Mediterranean health spa. OSK Igalo is football club from Igalo. The club was founded in 1929 and currently competes in the 2nd league of Montenegro.
Their home ground is stadium "Solila", which is located near the sea, the promenade and next to the cemetery, but that is not easy to find. The stadium almost was nothing more than a pitch, has only a small hard standing and extremely high fence to the ground.
On the other side of the bay in relation to Igalo is located Tivat. The city and municipality of Tivat is located in the south of Montenegro in Boka Kotorska bay. The entire length of the Tivat Riviera is dotted with attractive bays and beaches and it is very desirable destination for tourists. It is accessible by car, train or bus, but one mayor advantage is Tivat airport.
FK Arsenal is footbal club based in Tivat, Montenegro. No one knows exactly when it started playing football in Tivat, but in 1923 is established Orjen which will change its name to Arsenal in 1934. By the independence of Montenegro, Arsenal, which throughout history was largely in republic leagues, played in 2nd league of Montenegro where is even today. "Stadion u Parku" is club´s home ground and is located by Porto Montenegro Marina. Not very representative stadium but somehow interesting, surrounded by a concrete wall in the shadow of trees.
