SPARTAK x SLOBODA

FK Spartak Subotica 2-2 FK Sloboda Užice

Jelen Superliga - I

Empty stands, mud instead of grass pitches, teams of limited qualities and potential, with the sole intention not to receive a goal. Yes, that's right, begins elite football league in Serbia. You will not believe me, or you will, but I could not wait to start. Snow and rain have made a big issue for the clubs, who were preparing to open the spring season and this is not anything new. For five years in a row, the season begins at the end of February and it is always the question of whether it will be postponed or not. Gents from the Football Association introduces the requirement that each stadium from the next season must have floodlights. I think they are more needed better pitches and some roof on the stands.
The audience will not come to watch bad football and to stand in the rain, whether to play at noon or in the evening under floodlights. The fact is that the stadiums are in poor condition, regardless of what, in recent years, clubs worked to improve conditions.
The pitch in Subotica was covered with a large amount of water, and the authorities only a few seconds before the start of match made a decision to play. On desperate ground, who barely qualified for the match, in cold and rainy weather, a great match and the draw at the end. It´s raining all day, but the pitch looked, as my friends says, it´s raining all month more like.
The greater part of the first half, there was a big fight in the midfield. Better play in the finish of the first half, home team crowned with splendid goal. The second half belonged to the visitors from Uzice. They had more of the game and created chances. Guests have turned result six minutes before the end of the match, after the exclusion of domestic goalie and penalty, while the home team equalized two minutes before the end to the delight of all 250 spectators.
Yes, I did not make a mistake, rain, working day, beginning at 14am, have done their own, while football was not so bad, it was certainly excitement.
OK, the season has started, what will happen next, we will see...

Championship of Serbia

Winter and snow, no football, so I found a different aspect of entertainment, ice hockey! Ice hockey in Serbia is on a purely amateur basis. The most famous club Partizan, after two league titles in Slohockey league is an amateur team again. In Serbia, there are few ice hall and an open ice field, this in Subotica. After much trouble, the championship began with six teams in this season.
Hockey club Spartak was founded in 1939 under the name SK Palic. The first championship game was played 1941, and part of the Spartak sports society became in 1945. Their biggest success was Cup in season 2009/10. The club play their home matches at Stadion malih sportova or if you translate into English, small sports stadium.

Match program

Spartak and Partizan divide the points in the match of 15th Jelen Super league round, although the champion until 78 minutes had seemed to secure two-goal advantage. The hosts, however, did not give up, take advantage of the mistakes in the guest defense and reach equalization and valuable points, which are once again proven to know how with "the big ones", the Red Star have mastered 3-0 in the same place. Admission was from 200 to 350 rsd (€ 2-3.5) and although it was good weather with considering the time of year, visit was not in the number that is expected, because gathered only around 4 to 5,000 spectators. No official data and if you read in the newspaper 8,000, do not believe them. The fans were great, as opposed to players who repeatedly struggled with each other. The epilogue is just a couple of yellow cards. In the end, it should be noted that this was a really great match, was played very good football. The sad thing is now following a pause of three months in Serbia. Ugh...

Spartak has awaited today's duel in great shape and with great expectations. Rival for the placement in the National Cup semi-final is their biggest rival Vojvodina. The match between these two rivals is local, Vojvodina derby. What is importance of this encounter shows the information that the admission was free for fans. Free entry, but the working day and at the stadium is gathered barely 1.500 people. Spartak score the goal in the first half and led until the added time, and then a shock to the most fans at the stadium.
Equalizing goal and decision  follows on the penalties. Roulette on penalties has brought joy to the guests and grief to the home supporters.

The first sports club in Belgrade was founded in 1903, football club Soko. Since 1913 the club changed its name to BASK, which is the acronym for Belgrade academic sports club. Once was an academic and now is an amateur club. In the postwar period disappears and in 1953 was re-born. The biggest success is the entry in the super-league in season 2010/11, but the club has not played a single game in this competition, because he withdrew from the competition. FK BASK today is in the Serbian league, third rank of competition and 100 years of history is greater than the current value of the club.
Their stadium is located in the place that is called Careva ćuprija (The Emperor's Bridge) near the same name Belgrade hippodrome. After the renovation in 2011 is also known under the name BASK Arena. At the stadium was set new artificial pitch and the capacity of the stadium is about 3,500, but with only 420 seats. So this stadium entered in the Serbian football history as the first on which was played official match on the artificial surface.
Todays match was very bad. Admission was less than €2, but that does not attract more people to come. The atmosphere at the game was like in the theater. The only interesting were groundhoppers, whom was a full stadium. They are the fans what each club may wish. They are always there.
